Protected and Dry
A composite toe protects without steel's weight, and the sealed SCUBALINER™ membrane keeps feet dry in wet conditions.
Nothing Metal in the Boot
Composite toe, composite shank, and no eyelets at all — there is no metal in the boot's structure. That keeps an 11" boot lighter than it has any right to be, and makes it a straightforward choice where access points are detector-controlled.
Tall, Durable Build
The 11" pull-on shaft adds coverage, and welt construction with a lugged outsole delivers longevity and traction.
Why Choose the CA8540?

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there any metal in the boot?
No. The CA8540 uses a non-metallic composite toe and a non-metallic shank, and as a pull-on it has no eyelets or lace hardware.
What does a square toe change about the fit?
It gives your toes room to spread laterally rather than tapering them together. On a pull-on, where you can't adjust the instep with laces, that extra forefoot room does much of the comfort work.
Can it be resoled?
Yes. Welt construction stitches the lug outsole to the upper rather than bonding it, so a cobbler can replace it when the tread wears down.
Is it insulated?
The CA8540 is uninsulated, which makes it comfortable across three seasons. For cold work, Carolina builds insulated models rated by gram weight.
