Carolina has built boots in Martinsburg, Pennsylvania since 1955, and this collection is what still comes out of that factory. Which USA-Made Models Have a Met Guard?

The INT family is built around it. The INT 8-inch and INT Lo 6-inch both use an external metatarsal guard over a steel toe, on a Vibram heat-resistant outsole — the combination welding, foundry, and mining work gets specified into. The Int 6-inch met guard wedge covers the same ground on a wedge sole, and the Miter EXT 6-inch pairs an external guard with a composite toe. External guards take the hit directly rather than hiding under the upper.
