What sizes and widths is the CA7821 available in?
We carry it in Medium, Wide, and Extra Wide, in sizes 7 through 15, with half sizes through 11½.
What does the internal met guard do, and what is Mt75?
The met guard shields the metatarsal bones — the long bones across the top of the foot, which a toe cap doesn't cover — from falling and rolling objects. Mt75 is the ASTM F2413 rating for metatarsal protection at the 75-foot-pound impact level, the same energy level as an I-75 toe. Building it internally keeps the profile lower than a strap-on external guard.
Do I actually need a met guard?
It depends on what's above your feet. Met guards are specified where heavy objects can drop or roll onto the instep — logging, foundries, steel handling, heavy material yards. If your hazard assessment doesn't call for Mt-rated footwear, a plain steel toe is lighter and more flexible. Your site safety officer sets that requirement, not the boot.
Can it be resoled?
Yes. Welt construction stitches the outsole on rather than cementing it, so the lug sole can be replaced when it wears through.
