No Steel Underfoot
Composite toe, non-metallic shank. Nothing structural in this boot is metal, so it stays lighter than a steel-toe build and transfers less cold into the toe box on a winter site.
Room Up Front, Support Up High
The broad toe box adds forefoot space, and the 8" shaft adds ankle support and keeps debris out compared with the 6" Bruno Lo.
Why Choose the CA8520?
An 8" waterproof composite-toe boot with a roomy toe box and real ankle coverage — for demanding, wet work.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I choose the 8" or the 6"?
The 8" shaft supports the ankle on uneven ground and keeps debris out of the boot; the 6" Bruno Lo flexes more freely and is cooler and quicker to pull on. Both use the same broad composite toe and waterproof membrane, so the decision is coverage versus mobility, not protection.
What does “broad toe” actually mean here?
A wider last through the toe box, not a wider overall width. You still order your normal width; the extra room is in the forefoot.
How long does the waterproofing last?
The SCUBALINER™ is a sealed membrane rather than a surface coating, so it doesn't wash off. Conditioning the leather and keeping the seams clean is what keeps it working over the life of the boot.
Can I use my own orthotics?
Yes. The AG7™ footbed lifts out. The CA8520 is EH rated rather than static-dissipative, so there's no SD rating to compromise by swapping it.
