No Steel Underfoot
Composite toe, non-metallic shank. Nothing structural in this boot is metal, which keeps the weight down and cuts the cold transfer you feel through a steel toe on a winter morning.
Room Where You Need It
The broad toe box gives the forefoot noticeably more space than a standard last, which matters most late in a shift when feet have swollen and a normal toe box starts to pinch.
Why Choose the CA5520?
A lightweight 6" waterproof composite-toe boot with a genuinely roomy toe box — comfortable protection for long days on your feet.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does “broad toe” actually mean here?
A wider last through the toe box, not a wider overall width. You still order your normal width; the extra room sits in the forefoot, which helps if your toes splay or your feet swell over a long shift.
Why choose a composite toe over steel?
Both meet the same ASTM F2413 impact and compression thresholds. Composite transfers far less cold — noticeable on a winter site — and weighs less across a long day. Steel is thinner, so it gives slightly more toe-box room at the same shell size, though on a broad last that's less of an issue.
How long does the waterproofing last?
The SCUBALINER™ is a sealed membrane rather than a surface coating, so it doesn't wash off. Conditioning the leather and keeping the seams clean is what keeps it working over the life of the boot.
Can I use my own orthotics?
Yes. The AG7™ footbed lifts out. The CA5520 is EH rated rather than static-dissipative, so there's no SD rating to compromise by swapping it.
