Carbon Fiber Toe, Composite Shank
A carbon fiber weave hits the same ASTM impact and compression thresholds as steel at lower weight, and it doesn't pull cold into the toe box on a winter site. The shank is composite too, so the whole structure of the boot stays light — you feel it most at the end of a shift, in the muscles that lift your feet.
What Barnyard Acid Resistance Actually Does
Manure, urine, and fertilizer are chemically aggressive, and so are the caustics in a lot of heavy industry. They attack ordinary leather, and a boot that shrugs off rain will still come apart in a dairy barn or a feedlot. BAR leather is treated to withstand that exposure.
A Welt You Can Resole
The leather welt is stitched through the upper and insole, and the outsole is stitched to it. That seam can be cut and re-stitched, so the boot outlives its first sole — rare at this price, and the main reason to choose a Staple Gun.

The leather is treated to resist degradation from manure, urine, fertilizer, and similar caustic chemicals. It is not the same as chemical-resistant footwear for industrial solvents.
Is the CA7575 true to size?
Carolina generally runs true to size — order the size you wear in sneakers, unlike Red Wing or Thorogood, which tend to run large. If you're between widths, take the wider one; feet swell over a shift.
Can it be resoled?
Yes. Leather welt construction stitches the outsole to the upper rather than bonding it, so a cobbler can replace the outsole when the tread wears down.
