Why a Pull-On
No laces means nothing to catch on machinery, nothing to tie in the dark, and no eyelets to fail. The trade is fit: a wellington can't be cinched down, so getting the size right matters more than it does on a lace-up. The square toe helps — there's room to spread without the boot being loose at the heel.
A Wellington You Can Resole
A welt on a tall pull-on is unusual. The CA8622's lug outsole is stitched rather than bonded, so a cobbler can replace it — and on a boot this tall, where the leather routinely outlasts the outsole by years, that's the feature that decides how long you keep it.
Why Choose the CA8622?
Waterproof, EH rated, composite-toe protection in a tall pull-on with a roomy square toe — and a sole you can replace.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the CA8622 true to size?
Carolina generally runs true to size — order the size you wear in sneakers. On a pull-on there are no laces to take up slack, so width matters more than usual; if you're between widths, take the wider one.
Can it be resoled?
Yes. Welt construction stitches the outsole to the upper rather than bonding it, so a cobbler can replace the lug sole when the tread wears down.
What does a square toe change about the fit?
It gives your toes room to spread laterally instead of tapering them together. On a pull-on, where you can't adjust the instep with laces, that extra forefoot room does much of the comfort work.
Is it insulated?
The Judge is waterproof and uninsulated, which makes it comfortable across three seasons. For winter work, Carolina builds insulated models rated by gram weight.
Does the EH rating still apply when the boots are wet?
Treat it as reduced. EH testing is performed under dry conditions; moisture, damp leather, and worn outsoles all degrade insulation. EH footwear is secondary protection — never a substitute for de-energizing a circuit or using primary PPE.
