A Rugged Design with Lace-Free Ease
Whether you're making service calls or working in the wood shop, you can count on the Danner Bull Run Chelsea for durability and comfort. It has the same rugged design as the original Bull Run, updated with slip-on construction that's easy to pull on and off. A full-grain tobacco leather upper is soft yet durable, and the oil-and-slip-resistant outsole with a 90-degree heel keeps you comfortable through long days climbing ladders or standing on wood, tile, or concrete.

Why the 90-Degree Heel?
This Chelsea uses a heeled outsole with a squared 90-degree heel rather than a flat wedge. That defined edge grips ladder rungs and step treads, giving you surer footing when you're climbing throughout the day — a practical touch for electricians, techs, and anyone moving up and down ladders.
A Note on Recrafting
Like other Bull Run Chelsea boots, this style is built with stitchdown construction and is eligible for Danner's boot stretch, basic, and resole recrafting packages. Because of its sleeker, more minimal outsole construction, however, the mesh liner cannot be replaced during recrafting — so plan on the leather and outsole holding up over the boot's life rather than a full liner rebuild.
Why Choose the Tobacco Bull Run Chelsea 15486?
If you want the classic Bull Run's comfort in a lace-free slip-on with a rich tobacco color, this is it. Oiled full-grain leather, a heeled outsole built for ladders, and EH protection come together in a boot that's genuinely quick to get on and off.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the 90-degree heel on this Chelsea for?
The squared heel is designed to catch ladder rungs and step edges, giving you more secure footing when you climb — a different focus than the flat Danner Wedge, which is tuned for standing on smooth, flat surfaces.
Does the tobacco Chelsea fit true to size?
Yes. It's built on Danner's 503 last, which fits true to size, so you can order your usual size.
Is this a safety-toe boot?
No. It has a plain (non-safety) toe with electrical hazard (EH) protection under ASTM F2892. For a protective toe, choose the steel-toe version (15487).
Can the liner be replaced if this boot is recrafted?
No. Due to this style's sleeker outsole construction, Danner is unable to replace the mesh liner during recrafting. It's still eligible for boot stretch, basic, and resole packages.
