The Southern Cross Zip Ladies: Met / PR Midsole is a 6-inch ankle boot with a padded collar and tongue, offering all-day comfort.
This boot is packed with safety features. The Steel Toe Cap (ErgoDefender™) is tested against corrosion, impact compression, and internal dimensions to ensure it covers the necessary area and offers premium toe protection. The internal polyurethane Metatarsal Guard, rated to 100 Joules of force, offers superior impact protection to this part of the foot without compromising comfort.
The tough TPU Outsole is heat resistant to 266°F, combines Electrical Hazard (EH) and Slip Resistant properties, and performs well in below-freezing conditions. It also includes an extra tough Penetration Resistant midsole to prevent sharp objects getting through to your foot.
Steel Blue Ladies safety boots are designed just for women and include a shorter ankle length and smaller instep to fit the female foot anatomy. This is one of the few boots in the women's Southern Cross line to add a dedicated Metatarsal Guard, rated to 100 Joules, on top of the standard 200 Joule steel toe. Combined with the Penetration Resistant midsole, it covers impact hazards to the toe, the top of the foot, and the sole in one boot.
