Double H Men’s Dylan 12" Soft Toe Western Work Boot – DH1552
The Double H Dylan (DH1552) is a 12-inch pull-on western work boot with a soft toe, made at Double H's Martinsburg, PA, facility using global parts. It's built for ranch, agriculture, and general work where you want a tall western pull-on, all-day comfort, and an oil- and slip-resistant outsole, without a safety toe requirement.
If your job spec calls for a protective toe, the same boot is also available with a steel toe in the DH1592.
Who the Double H Dylan Is For
This is a soft-toe boot. It's the right call when your work doesn't require a safety toe: ranch and ag work, daily wear, driving, and general-purpose use where comfort and a 12-inch pull-on shaft matter more than impact protection. If you need a rated toe for your jobsite, go with the DH1592 steel-toe version instead.
The 12-inch shaft and pull-on construction mean no laces to deal with and good coverage up the calf. The R toe is tapered but rounded at the tip, so it reads western without the pinch of a true pointed last.

Why These Features Matter
-
Old Town Folklore leather upper. Sits over a leather lining, so the boot breaks into your foot and holds up to daily wear.
-
Removable Gel Cell™ footbed over a Permafresh insole. Two layers doing two jobs: the Gel Cell insert cushions the strike and can be pulled out or swapped for your own orthotic; the Permafresh® insole underneath adds shock absorption and an anti-bacterial treatment that fights odor on long days.
-
Oak I.C.E. outsole. This is the part that earns its keep. I.C.E. stands for Industrial Compressed Elastomer, a compound that resists abrasion, so the sole holds its lugs and traction longer, and it's oil- and slip-resistant for footing on contaminated or wet surfaces. On a boot you wear every day, the outsole is usually the first thing to go; this one is built to outlast the cheap stuff.
-
1 7/8-inch heel. A defined western heel that holds a stirrup and gives you a stable, slightly raised stance, the standard height for a ranch and roper-style boot.
Sizing and Care
The Dylan is a pull-on, so fit at the instep and heel matters more than lace adjustment. If you're between sizes, account for the heavy sock you'll actually wear to work.
Don't power-wash leather boots. It strips the oils from the Old Town Folklore leather, and the upper cracks within a season. Wipe them down, let them dry away from direct heat, and condition the leather a few times a year to keep the shaft supple.
