The Vicious is a cup-sole boot built on a nylon shank and Trailguard TPU platform rather than Danner's stitchdown construction, so it isn't eligible for Danner's recrafting program. In exchange, you get a lighter, more athletic-feeling insulated boot with GORE-TEX waterproofing built in from the factory.
