Snake and Impact Protection That Stays Dry
Built for the field, the AE5034 combines a snake-resistant 17" upper with a waterproof breathable membrane, so you can move through brush, grass and wet ground with your feet protected and dry. The nano composite safety toe adds impact and compression protection where soft-toe snake boots leave off.
All-Terrain Grip and Scent Control
The Cross Terrain outsole uses oversized lugs, abrasion-resistant rubber and water-shed channels to grip and shed water across varied terrain, while the Cosmo Scent Mask lining helps control odor on the hunt. A non-metallic shank and hardware round out a boot suited to secure work sites as well as the outdoors.
Why Choose the Chippewa Cross Terrain AE5034?
If you want snake protection with a genuine safety toe — plus true waterproofing, all-terrain traction, scent control and a fully non-metallic build — the Cross Terrain 17" is a versatile, hard-working choice for hunting and outdoor work alike.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of toe does the AE5034 have?
A nano composite safety toe: it meets ASTM F2413 impact and compression standards, leaves extra room in the toe box, and is non-metallic so it won't conduct heat or cold like steel.
Will the AE5034 set off metal detectors?
Chippewa builds it with a non-metallic shank and hardware specifically to help avoid activating screening devices, which makes it a good fit for high-security work environments. As always, individual site screening can vary.
How is the AE5034 different from the Brome snake boot?
Both are 17" waterproof pull-on snake boots. The AE5034 adds a nano composite safety toe and a fully non-metallic build with an all-terrain outsole; the Brome (25110) is a soft-toe boot with a resoleable Goodyear® leather welt and a Vibram® Robinson outsole.
What is the Cosmo Scent Mask lining?
It's a scent-control lining designed to help mask odor — a useful feature when you're hunting and trying to stay undetected by game.
