Everything else about the build matches the 4.5" Vicious: same GORE-TEX waterproofing, same Vibram Vicious outsole, same DLE-01 last.
A Different Kind of Build
The Vicious is a cup-sole boot built on a nylon shank and Trailguard TPU platform rather than Danner's stitchdown construction, so it isn't eligible for Danner's recrafting program. In exchange, you get a lighter, more athletic-feeling boot with GORE-TEX waterproofing built in from the factory.
