Treat yourself to great-looking Copper Crazy Horse leather that takes on a beautifully distressed finish with hard use. Built with Carolina's exclusive Waterproof SCUBALINER™ and a triple-rib steel shank, the CA8821 is made to keep your feet dry and supported through a long day on wet, uneven ground.
Key Features of the Carolina CA8821

Waterproof SCUBALINER™ — Carolina's proprietary sealed waterproof membrane keeps feet dry in rain, mud, and snow.
-
Copper Crazy Horse Leather Upper — Rugged leather that ages into a distinctive worn-in look.

Pillow Cushion™ Footbed — Memory-foam layer for all-day underfoot comfort.
-
Triple-Rib Steel Shank — Heavy-duty arch support to fight foot fatigue on uneven terrain.
-
Electrical Hazard Rated — Withstands up to 18,000 volts at 60Hz for one minute without leakage.
-
Welt Construction & One-Piece Rubber Lug Outsole — Rebuildable, with oil- and slip-resisting lug tread.
Waterproof Protection That Lasts
The SCUBALINER™ is a sealed internal membrane rather than a surface coating, so its waterproofing doesn't wear off with use. Paired with a Taibrelle lining, feet stay dry from the outside and comfortable on the inside.
Built for Support on Rough Ground
The triple-rib steel shank and welt construction give the boot a stable, rebuildable platform — well suited to logging and outdoor work where footing is unpredictable.
Comfort for Long Shifts
The Pillow Cushion™ memory-foam footbed cushions each step, while the non-insulated build keeps the boot breathable for three-season wear.
Why Choose the CA8821?
It delivers Carolina's proven waterproofing and support at a soft-toe price point, for workers who need a dry, durable 8" logger without a safety toe.

Frequently Asked Questions
What sizes and widths is the CA8821 available in?
We carry it in Medium, Wide, and Extra Wide, in sizes 5 through 15, with half sizes through 11½. Carolina builds this last in D, 2E, and 4E widths.
Is the CA8821 a safety-toe boot?
No — this is a soft (plain) toe boot. It carries an Electrical Hazard rating but no compression or impact toe protection. If your site requires a protective toe, choose the steel-toe CA9821 instead.
Can it be resoled?
Yes. Welt construction stitches the outsole to the upper rather than bonding it, so a cobbler can replace the lug sole when it wears through. On a boot worn daily on abrasive ground, that's usually the difference between three years and eight.
Does the EH rating still protect me if the boots are wet?
Treat it as reduced. EH testing is performed under dry conditions, and moisture, damp leather, and worn outsoles all degrade insulation. EH footwear is secondary protection — never a substitute for de-energizing a circuit or using primary PPE.
Is it insulated?
No. The CA8821 is non-insulated, which makes it well suited to three-season wear. For cold-weather work, the CA5821 is the same platform with 600g of Thinsulate™.
