Danner redesigned the Quarry after noticing the midsole was often the first part to break down on well-worn pairs. The result is a single-piece, highly durable midsole developed with Vibram, paired with an updated outsole and a reinforced heel stitch moved to the outside of the boot — a high-wear spot from workers kicking boots off at the end of the day.

Danner sources materials from around the world and finishes each pair by hand in Portland, Oregon — the “Made in USA with imported components” approach that keeps the price reasonable without giving up build quality. Thanks to stitchdown construction, the boot is eligible for part replacement, leather care, and restitching through Danner's recrafting program.
