Weight and construction. The Comfort Core is the traditional heavy logger with Georgia's cushioned insole system, built for durability on hard ground. The LTX and Amped Lightweight lines strip weight out for people who cover distance on foot. Both share the logger silhouette; the trade is service life against how tired you are by the end of a shift.
It keeps the raised heel and lugged outsole that define the category, so yes for traction and slope. What changes is the upper and midsole, which are lighter and will not last as long under abrasion. If you climb or work genuinely rough ground daily, the heavier build earns its weight.

Full-grain leather with an additional treatment that resists chemicals commonly found on farms, including sulfuric acid and caustic potash. Georgia uses it across parts of the range, and it is a genuine advantage for agricultural work where ordinary leather degrades from contact with fertilizers and cleaning agents.

One to three weeks on the heavier leather models, since the shank and the shaft both have to soften. The lightweight LTX and Amped models need far less. That stiffness in a traditional logger is doing a job, so a logger that breaks in very fast is usually not built for real slope work.
