It takes Danner's classic logger profile, with its raised heel and 6-inch height, and rebuilds it for pavement and daily wear. The chukkas and mocs in the Forest family are comfortable close to immediately; the Logger 917 takes a little longer as the leather softens.

It depends on the construction, and most of this line is cemented rather than stitchdown, so they are generally built to be replaced rather than rebuilt.
