It matters more for turkey hunting, where you sit at ground level with feet pointed at a bird with excellent eyesight. Store them out of direct sun, upright rather than folded at the ankle, and rinse them after use. UV, ozone, and repeated folding at one point are what crack neoprene and rubber, far more than the hunting itself. Leaving them in a hot truck bed or a sunny garage is the fastest way to shorten their life.
